ABOUT YOUR REALTOR MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the Westmoreland West Association of Realtors is individual rather than organizational. Your membership is personal and fully transferable should you change brokers.
Payment of dues enrolls your automatically in the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors, thus you can fully enjoy benefits from the three-tier organization.
Benefits are many. Members have access to the electronic forms through the West Penn Multi-List, and also the standard PAR forms. You have access to the Professional Standards and Arbitration Committee for efficient, effective, expedient results when a problem occurs between Realtors and/or the general public. Publications are available to you, along with educational seminars and social events scattered throughout the year. Government intervention showers the real estate industry on a daily basis; therefore, professional lobbyists at the federal and state level, along with our RPAC Chairman and Government Affairs Director monitor activities to preserve our business and the right to own and use real estate. Access to the real estate commission and their forms as well as a Legal Hotline are available to all members. Each month, benefits are added as a member service, ranging from office supplies to car rentals to insurance programs.
"But what do I get for my dues?" A short list on the local level: we accept payments for dues to help our members if needed. Our staff is available seven days a week, and our Chief Executive Officer, with over 28 years experience in the association, is devoted solely to serving the needs of the members. She is not a Realtor - so doesn't complete with her members for listings and sales. We honor our top producers - with no levels of participation - you earned it, we honor it. We have a webpage updated regularly at the association with information to help your business. We have a list of affiliate members to help you with varying aspects of real estate. We offer local CE classes. Our members are involved in our community....and many more. Also, check out the member benefits from PAR and NAR, and you will find dozens of discounts, savings, and programs.
RPAC (Realtors Political Action Committee) is an important tool for passing important legislation or stopping harmful legislation from occurring. Your voluntary contributions to RPAC are an investment to your business success, and a commitment to preserving the future of the real estate industry. Your political funding decision is backed by hundreds of thousands Realtors nationwide. This is not dues money; rather, this is a voluntary contribution by Realtors in recognition of how important campagn fundraising is. RPAC doesn't buy votes. RPAC enables Realtors to support candidates that support our issues. Make a donation today. In conjunction with RPAC is the Call for Action. Whenever a Call appears in your email, open, read, and submit. It takes just seconds. These Calls are sent out to the members whenever a bill is coming up for passage or defeat. The Call goes directly to your Senators or Representatives. Another way to protect both your bottom line, and private property rights.
